Billy
Jack Hancock, Sr.
B.J. Hancock has
been trading and collecting unique, old, and desirable collectables for over 30
years. He has reached a point in his life where he wants to sell his
entire collection and travel the world. He has commissioned MONROE
AUCTIONS to cry at Public Auction to the highest bidder for this unique
collection.
B.J. was born in
Morganville, TX in 1926. He started breaking and training horses at the
age of 13 and was a master in his field.
In 1944 he went to
serve his country as a Marine and served in Okinawa. He was a PFC and
received the Purple Heart, and was a sharp shooter.
Billy Jack was,
and still is, a real cowboy. He rode on the Lubbock County Sheriff's Posse
in the '50's and competed in rodeos. Some rodeo competitions he
participated in were Calf Roping, Steer Wrestling, Goat Roping, Wild Cow Milking
and Bull Riding.
B.J. is a licensed
pilot and is a Charter Member of the Texas Flying Farmers.
Hancock has been
an auctioneer since the early 1950's.
Billy Jack is the
father of 8 and grandfather of 10 children.
He is a life
member of the NRA, and has been a member of the Knights of Pythias since 1942.
